Snorkel Orange Bay & Giftun Island

Orange Bay and Giftun Island sit inside the Giftun Islands protected area, a short run from Hurghada's marina. The boat usually stops at both — Orange Bay for its famous sandbar and shallow turquoise shelf, Giftun for a longer, more established reef with better coral cover.

Most trips include two or three in-water stops, lunch on board, and a couple of hours of free beach time on Orange Bay's sand. No diving licence is needed for any of it — the shallow plateau around both islands is snorkel-only depth for almost its entire length.

Bring reef-safe sunscreen; both sites are inside a marine protected area and touching or standing on coral is actively discouraged by the crews.
