Sataya Reef Dolphin Snorkeling Cruise

Sataya, sometimes called Dolphin Reef, is a sheltered lagoon formed by a horseshoe-shaped reef further offshore from Marsa Alam. A large resident pod of spinner dolphins uses the calm inner lagoon to rest during the day, which makes this one of the most consistent dolphin-swim sites in the entire Red Sea.
The boat ride out takes a couple of hours, so this is usually run as a full-day trip with lunch on board and two or three snorkeling stops — one focused on trying to find the dolphins, others over the reef itself, which is in noticeably good condition given how far it is from the mainland crowds.
As with any wild dolphin encounter, sightings aren't guaranteed and crews are strict about not chasing or crowding the pod if they do appear.
